We are pleased to invite you to “EMC Seminar in San Diego,” a seminar which will take place on Wednesday, November 17th from 12:00pm to 3:45pm at Advanced Test Equipment Rentals. The seminar is free to attend and lunch will be provided to participants.

"Latest EMC Design Solution for PCB above GHz"

EMC design above GHz is more complex and difficult because resonance occurs when the wavelength is equal to the size of PCB or
chassis and also the affect of stray capacitance and parasitic inductance increases. This lecture provides key EMC design tips for
PCB above GHz and also EBG (Electromagnetic Band Gap) structures to reduce noise coupling in PCB.
Dr. Takashi Harada NEC Corporation
He received his M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Tokyo, Japan in 1983. He received his PhD. from The University of Electro-Communications in 2000. He joined NEC Corporation in 1983 and has been engaged in research on EMC (developing microwave wave absorber, anechoic chamber, shielding material and board design tool for reducing EMI), and Jisso (packaging) technologies. Now, he is a Senior Manager of System Jisso Research Laboratories, NEC Corporation. He is also a Guest Professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers Society). Japan Institute of Electronics Packaging.
